This Disclaimer applies to all content, tools and information published on https://asmatk.com (the "Site"), which is operated by Asmatk ("Asmatk", "we", "us" or "our"). It explains the nature of the information we publish, the limits of what you should rely on it for, and our position on results, external links, tools, endorsements and trademarks.
We publish practical guides on SEO and digital marketing because we want them to be genuinely useful. At the same time, every website, business and market is different, and search engines change constantly. Please read this Disclaimer together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Key takeaways
- Everything on the Site is general information, not professional, legal or financial advice for your specific situation.
- No one, including Asmatk, can guarantee search rankings, traffic or revenue.
- Examples on the Site are illustrative, and the free tools produce estimates only.
- We currently use no affiliate links. If that changes, we will disclose it clearly.
General information only
The articles, guides, checklists, service descriptions and other content on the Site are published in good faith and for general information and educational purposes only. They are intended to help readers understand SEO and digital marketing concepts and make better-informed decisions.
The content is not tailored to your business, website, industry, location or goals. It is written without knowledge of your technical setup, your competitors, your content or your history with search engines. What works well for one website may be ineffective, or even counterproductive, for another. You should consider your own circumstances carefully before acting on anything you read on the Site.
Reading the Site, subscribing to our newsletter or contacting us does not create a client relationship or any duty of care beyond what the law requires. A client relationship only exists once a separate written proposal or agreement has been accepted by both parties.
Not professional, legal or financial advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes professional advice of any kind, including:
- Legal advice: where we mention topics such as privacy laws, cookie consent, accessibility, advertising standards or intellectual property, we do so for general awareness only. Laws vary between jurisdictions and change over time. Consult a qualified lawyer for advice on your legal obligations.
- Financial or investment advice: any discussion of marketing budgets, return on investment or business performance is general in nature. It is not a recommendation to spend, invest or allocate money in any particular way. Consult a qualified financial adviser or accountant before making significant financial decisions.
- Tax or accounting advice: we do not provide tax or accounting guidance.
- Technical or security advice for your specific system: technical instructions are general. Changes to servers, code, redirects, robots.txt files or site architecture can have serious consequences if applied incorrectly.
Watch out: Before making technical changes to a live website, such as editing robots.txt, adding noindex tags, changing canonical tags or setting up redirects, always take a full backup and test in a staging environment. A small mistake can remove pages from search results.
No guarantee of rankings or results
Search engines such as Google independently decide how to crawl, index and rank web pages. Their systems use many signals, are updated frequently and are not fully disclosed to the public. Asmatk has no control over these systems, and neither does any other SEO provider.
For that reason, we make no guarantee, promise or representation that following any advice on the Site, or engaging our services, will result in:
- any particular ranking position for any keyword;
- indexing of any page, or inclusion in any search feature such as rich results or local map listings;
- a specific level of organic traffic, impressions or clicks;
- a particular number of leads, sales, bookings or enquiries;
- any specific revenue, profit or return on investment;
- protection from ranking changes caused by algorithm updates, competitor activity or manual actions.
Google's own guidance on hiring an SEO advises site owners to be wary of anyone who claims to guarantee rankings. You can read that guidance in Google Search Central's documentation.
Examples are illustrative
Our articles and service pages sometimes use examples, scenarios, sample figures, hypothetical websites, mock search results or sample calculations to explain a concept. Unless we clearly state otherwise, these examples are illustrative only. They are not case studies, they do not describe the results of any real client, and they should not be read as a prediction of what you will achieve.
Where we refer to well-established public facts, such as Google's published Core Web Vitals thresholds, we aim to link to the official source so you can confirm the current version yourself. Official documentation from search engines always takes precedence over our summaries.
External links
The Site contains links to external websites, including official documentation from Google and other organizations, standards bodies such as schema.org, and our social media profiles. These links are provided for convenience and further reading.
We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices. External pages may change or be removed after we link to them. A link does not imply that we endorse the website, its owner, or any product, service or opinion it contains. When you follow an external link, you do so at your own risk, and the terms and policies of that website apply.
Free tools provide estimates only
Our SEO tools page offers free, browser-based tools, including:
- SERP preview: shows an approximation of how a page title and meta description might appear in search results. Search engines may truncate, rewrite or replace titles and descriptions, and the actual display depends on the query, device, screen width and the search engine's current layout. The preview cannot show exactly what a search engine will display.
- ROI calculator: produces a rough projection based entirely on the figures you enter, such as traffic, conversion rate and average value. The output is only as reliable as those inputs and assumes conditions that may not hold in reality. It is not a forecast, a financial projection or a promise of return.
- Keyword density checker: counts how often words and phrases appear in the text you provide. Keyword density is not a ranking factor in its own right, and there is no ideal density to aim for. The tool is intended to help you spot unnatural repetition, not to optimize toward a number.
All tools are provided "as is" and may contain errors, rounding differences or limitations. You should use their output as a starting point for your own judgment, not as the basis for important business decisions on its own.
Pro tip: For authoritative data about how your own site performs in Google Search, use Google Search Console. Its reports reflect real impressions, clicks and indexing status for your property, which no third-party estimate can replicate.
Implementation and professional judgment
Much of our content describes changes you might make to a website, such as rewriting titles, restructuring internal links, consolidating pages, adding structured data or improving page speed. How those changes are carried out matters as much as the recommendation itself. The same advice implemented on two different content management systems, themes or hosting setups can produce very different outcomes.
You are responsible for deciding whether a recommendation suits your website and for implementing it correctly. Where a change is complex or could affect a large number of pages, we recommend involving an experienced developer or SEO specialist who can review your specific setup. If you would like help assessing your own site, you can contact us to discuss a tailored engagement, which would be governed by its own written agreement.
Views expressed in our articles reflect our professional opinion at the time of writing. Other practitioners may reasonably reach different conclusions, and we encourage you to compare sources and test changes carefully before rolling them out widely.
Errors and omissions
We take care to research our content and keep it current, but we cannot guarantee that everything on the Site is complete, accurate or up to date at all times. SEO is a fast-moving field. Search engines revise their guidelines, retire features, introduce new metrics and change their interfaces, sometimes without notice. For example, Interaction to Next Paint (INP) replaced First Input Delay (FID) as a Core Web Vital in March 2024, which made older guidance on that topic outdated.
Content may therefore contain technical inaccuracies, typographical errors or information that has been superseded. We may correct, update or remove content at any time without notice, but we are under no obligation to do so. If you spot an error, we would be grateful if you let us know at [email protected] so we can review it.
Affiliate links and endorsements
At present, the Site does not contain affiliate links, and we do not receive commissions, payments or free products in exchange for mentioning any tool, service or company. When we mention a product, such as a search engine's free tools or a widely used SEO platform, we do so because it is relevant to the topic, not because we are paid to.
If we ever add affiliate links, sponsored content or paid partnerships in the future, we will disclose them clearly and close to the relevant content, in line with applicable rules such as the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and equivalent rules in other countries. We will also update this Disclaimer to explain the arrangement.
The Site does not publish testimonials or reviews presented as coming from clients. Any opinions expressed on the Site are those of the Asmatk Editorial Team.
Fair use and trademarks
The Site refers to third-party companies, products and services in order to explain, discuss and compare them. All trademarks, service marks, product names and logos mentioned belong to their respective owners. For example, Google, Google Search, Google Search Console and Google Business Profile are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names, such as those of web browsers, social networks and software tools, are trademarks of their respective owners.
These names are used for identification and commentary only. Their use does not imply that Asmatk is affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these owners, or that they endorse Asmatk.
Where we quote or reference short passages from third-party publications, such as official documentation, we do so for the purposes of commentary, criticism, education and research, with attribution and a link to the source where practical. If you are a rights holder and believe that material on the Site has been used inappropriately, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asmatk will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, arising from your use of or reliance on any content, tool or information on the Site. This includes, without limitation, loss of rankings, traffic, revenue, profit, data or business opportunity, and costs incurred as a result of changes made to your website.
Any action you take based on information on the Site is strictly at your own risk. Nothing in this Disclaimer limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. Liability relating to paid services is governed by the separate written proposal or agreement for those services. For the full terms, please see our Terms of Service.
